Sibling Rivalry and Jealousy

Imām ʿAlī (ʿa) has said, “The affection of parents is [the basis of] the relationship between siblings.” Our roles as parents play a big role in guiding our children both as examples in relationships as well as in the ways we interact with each child and furthermore in having a helpful outlet to release these emotions while teaching them the acceptable way to behave. Sibling rivalry and jealousy is a common issue but understanding jealousy and the roots of sibling rivalry along with practical tips can give parents the tools to navigate this and to create a bond between siblings.
